Countless gallons are wasted by people throwing half full bottles of water in the bin. 

 

Idea - 

 

Bins in city centres will be fitted with a tube at the side of the lid. The tubes will be connected to large underground tanks. Unwanted water can be emptied into these tubes, collected in the tanks and then used to water the plants and flower beds across the city.
